Job Description
Mechanical Engineer
Contract period: -
Location: Bergen
Main tasks:
- Design and 3D modelling in Autodesk Inventor
- Mechanical calculations, structural, welds etc.
- Creation and maintenance of technical documentation (drawings, BOMs, checklists, ITPs)
- Engineering of tailor‑made sheaves and crane blocks
- FEM analysis (Nastran/Inventor Simulation)
- Revision control and document management using PDM
- Technical support during production and assembly
- Participating in technical reviews and client/third‑party dialogue
- Supporting verification/documentation processes for DNV, ABS, Lloyd’s
Qualifications:
- Minimum BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and Nastran/Ansys
- Understanding of mechanical systems, stress, and materials
