Mechanical Designer, Mining

Location: St. Johns, NL; Brampton, Sudbury; North Bay, ON

You will work as part of the Mining team at EXP, contributing to the design and layout of mechanical components for mining projects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a working lead for a multidisciplinary design team.
• Produce mechanical layouts and plant designs using MicroStation V8, E3D, AutoCAD, and other 2‑D/3‑D tools.
• Extract drawings from 3‑D models.
• Conduct research and analysis, recommend designs.
• Troubleshoot, analyze, evaluate, propose, implement, and document engineering solutions.
• Understand and consider client requirements and project mission.
• Read, understand, and comment on manufacturer equipment drawings and specifications.
• Check 3‑D models and drawings developed by others.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and deliverables related to the layout. <...
