Overview

Duration: 8 months with possibility of extension. Machining experience is a mandatory requirement.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
• Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc.
• May be involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products.
• Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Qualifications

• Machining experience is a mandatory requirement.
• May require a bachelor's degree in engineering and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
