Mechanical Design Engineer

Full-time Engineering

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, detailing, and support of mechanical equipment used in the mining, quarrying, and materials-handling industries. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop mechanical equipment using SolidWorks (3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings). Produce GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). Assist with conveyor layouts and basic belt calculations. Support the design of vibrating screens, feeders, chutes, and crusher support structures. Liaise with workshop, production, and procurement teams. Revise and update drawings based on feedback and requirements. Assist with technical documentation and data books. Ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety requirements. Minimum Requirements: National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Proficient in SolidWorks (essential). 25 years mechanical design experience.
