Job Description
The Modernization Project Office (MPO) is responsible for the engineering, design, cost estimating, scheduling, and project controls on conventional construction projects, including the selection of architectural/engineering firms, contractors and others engaged for these projects.Preparation of daily narrative reports. Verification of work performed on contractor payment applications. Coordination of construction work with facility operations and other stakeholders. Responsible for quality of work.
As a member of the Modernization Project Office, the experienced mechanical inspector will inspect plumbing /mechanical/HVAC work associated with new construction and/or renovation work to ensure conformance with contract documents and applicable codes and standards.
The ideal candidate will have field experience in construction with an emphasis on HVAC, plumbing, pipe fitting and fire protection.
