The Shop Mechanic/Welder must be a safety conscious, hardworking individual, with Mechanical skills. The position requires assembly and fabrication of environmental equipment. Work will be performed at times in a team environment. Good communication skills are required and the ability to follow directions. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Proficient in welding techniques and knowledge of materials for welding of various steel alloys, aluminum, and other metals
  • Can read and understand mechanical drawings
  • Working knowledge of weld set up parameters (amps, volts, and conventional and precision measuring instruments
  • Can do finish grinding applications using manual and power tools
