MDR Detection Engineer

Responsible for developing, maintaining, and validating security detections to improve visibility and ensure accurate threat identification. Supports proactive threat hunting, works with SOC Analysts on escalations, and contributes to continuous improvement of MDR detection capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security detection logic in SIEM and EDR platforms.
• Assist in tuning alerts to reduce false positives and improve accuracy.
• Document detection methodologies and contribute to detection libraries.
• Conduct proactive hunts to identify undetected threats.
• Analyze security data for patterns, anomalies, and emerging threats.
• Support incident investigations with custom queries and detection content.
• Work closely with SOC Analysts to validate alerts and detections.
• Provide feedback on detection gaps and support cross‑team investigations.
