- Responsible for the procurement and inventory management of Client manufacturing materials, components, equipment and/or services in accordance with supply chain optimization and management objectives.
- Coordinates material sourcing for new product introduction (NPI) projects, in collaboration with R&D and Marketing.
- Establishes and manages supplier relationships including negotiating contracts and prices, monitoring supplier performance and researching/selecting/analyzing the market supply base.
- May manage contract manufacturer (CM) or original design manufacturer (ODM) relationships to ensure best total cost of ownership, availability and inventory optimization.
- May be responsible for contributing to improvement efforts such as resourcing, supply chain improvements, risk mitigation/avoidance, cost reduction, assurance of supply, and/or quality.
