Job Overview
As a member of Agilent’s Materials Engineering team, you are tasked to manage a list of assigned commodities. The job requires the Materials Engineer (ME) to collaborate with internal teams and external parties.
Externals: The ME will work closely with Agilent’s global suppliers on quality, reliability, cost, and delivery. The ME continuously explores new technologies available in the marketplace.
Key Internal Interfaces- Procurement team – prices, lead time, delivery challenges, new MPN setup.
- Manufacturing Engineering team – technical issues, qualification, value engineering, continuous improvements.
- R&D team – NPIs, qualification, resourcing.
- Logistics team – proper stock storage, incoterms, defect reduction.
- Production team – NCM disposition, workmanship defect reduction, continuous improvement.
