- Acts as the first point of contact or link between the Office and the Masters of the ships under his care.
- Provide navigational and operational information and support to the ship staff.
- Conduct scheduled Navigation, Mooring, Cargo and Bunker audit and internal audits to ensure alignment with the Company's policies and procedures.
- Carry out ship inspections, which will include a minimum of one port or sailing visit on board with the associated reports.
- Ensure the efficient and satisfactory performance of the ships to meet charterers' requirements.
- Assist in the selection of suitable Master, deck officers and ratings for ships under his care.
- Monitor and assess the work performance of Master, deck officers to cultivate a high-performing culture.
