About the RoleReporting to the Director, Assistant General Counsel, Corporate Legal Team, you will provide legal guidance in employment and contract matters, supporting the legal needs of the Canadian business. You will partner closely with business teams and stakeholders, advising on risk management and regulatory compliance while fostering innovative solutions.
ResponsibilitiesSupport business expansion and address issues arising from a globalized workforce in a federally regulated bank.
Conduct legal research and translate advice into practical business terms.
Advise on new legislation and regulatory expectations.
Develop legal guidance and tools to support partners in complex legal environments.
Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including third‑party agreements under OSFI B10 Guidelines.
Participate in cross‑functional teams for special projects such as legislation implementation, new products, and risk management.
