Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Facilities and the Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Responsibilities Set up work and operate state-of-the-art machining centers. Manufacture parts and items of equipment from raw stock of different kinds of metals such as amor plate and metal alloys and other materials. Operate Computer Numerical Control (CNC) and Numerical Control (NC) machines to perform standard machining operations. Plan and layout work from blueprints, sketches, work orders, and/or model of parts to be made. Use shop mathematics and standard handbook formulas in making computations to establish dimensions not provided in oral or written instructions and specifications.
