This role involves setting up and operating a CO2 6K Bystronic laser to cut metal components according to precise specifications. You will handle a variety of materials, perform basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance, and guide material handlers to ensure efficient production. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret blueprints, and a commitment to quality and safety in a custom metal fabrication environment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up and operate a CO2 6K Bystronic laser, including configuring the machine for different jobs and ensuring proper parameters for each run.
+ Cut parts from thin gauge and structural steel, as well as other metals such as aluminum, according to blueprint and shop drawing specifications.
+ Work with mild steel up to 1 inch thick and stainless steel up to 5/8 inch thick, ensuring accurate and consistent cuts.
