The duties of a press operator are as follows:
Set up and operate the press to print plastic filmRead order forms Prepare and install cylinders on the press Insert cardboard tubes onto the shaft and ensure that they are properly inserted into the pressInstall blank rolls in press and fill ink and solvent tanks Tape the end of the new roll of plastic film to the one being printed and turn the crank to adjust film tensionStart press and adjust plate speed, tension and alignmentTake samples and inspect for imperfections on plastic filmFinalize the product and prepare it for dispatch to the next departmentAll other related tasksKeeps work environment clean and orderlyApplies the various safety rules.Applies Hood Packaging's quality and food safety policy.
