Job Description

Calender Operator II – Reading, PA

Hours are 10:30pm – 7:00am Sunday Evening through Friday Morning.

Operates Calender and Extrusion machines to efficiently heat, mix, extrude and press plastic into a calendered film of various thicknesses. Employees may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction. 
  • Operates calendar and extrusion equipment and is responsible for setting all heat processing parameters, including all width and gauge changes for the plastic film produced. 
  • Maintains machinery and operates at highest efficiency while inspecting product for quality defects, gauge control, product specification, and overall functions of the line.
