**Job Description**
The Machine Operator sets up, operates, and tends multiple types of cutting and forming machine tools or robots to produce metallic and plastic workpieces according to precise specifications. This role focuses on accurate machine operation, quality inspection, and basic maintenance to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production.
**Responsibilities**
+ Inspect workpieces for defects and measure them to verify accuracy of machine operation using rules, templates, and other measuring instruments.
+ Observe machine operation continuously to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunctions and adjust machines as needed to maintain quality and productivity.
+ Read blueprints and job orders to determine product specifications, tooling instructions, and to plan the sequence of operations.
+ Set up and operate machines such as lathes, cutters, shears, borers, millers, grinders, presses, drills, ...
