Job Title: Low Voltage TechnicianJob Description
This role focuses on installing, terminating, and testing low-voltage structured cabling systems for voice, data, security, and related technologies. The Low Voltage Technician works with copper and fiber cabling, low-voltage systems such as CCTV, access control, and fire alarm, and ensures all installations meet project specifications and applicable codes. The position requires hands-on field work, regular use of test equipment, and close attention to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
+ Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems, including Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A, in commercial and industrial environments.
+ Perform fiber optic installation, termination, and splicing using fusion or mechanical methods, ensuring high-quality connections.
+ Run and route low-voltage cabling through walls, ceilings, conduit, and cable tray systems in accordance with NEC and project specifications.
