Job Description
Advance your dispatching skills as a Logistics Dispatcher for the afternoon shift in Etobicoke, ON. This role centers around robust communication with drivers, customers, and suppliers to streamline transportation operations.
Reporting to the Transportation Manager, your core responsibility will include dispatching loads and addressing any logistical challenges. You will interact with over 20 carriers and make timely decisions to facilitate smooth transportation between various facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the dispatch of finished goods across multiple sites
• Ensure that drivers are monitored and supported throughout deliveries
• Manage updates in Transportation Management Systems
• Address and resolve trailer issues as they arise
• Conduct daily checks on trailers to ensure operational efficiency
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of dispatch or logistics experience
• Experience with TMS, e.g., E2OpenTMS, is preferred
