Job Description
As a Logistics Coordinator you will play a crucial role in our daily operations. Your responsibilities will include planning and scheduling transportation for goods for best use of truck/route in a fast paced environment.
Primary Work Activities and Responsibilities:
β’ Ensures shipping guidelines are adhered to according to client and company specifications and requirements
β’ Coordinate shipments and communicate booking information and instructions to relevant parties.
β’ Builds and maintains relationships with various transportation companies, including maintaining cargo insurance, WSIB coverage letters, etc. β’ Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with carriers ensuring effective communication and timely resolution of issues. β’ Proactively provide current knowledge of freight rates and factors affecting them and works to optimize cost efficiency.
