Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks and other kitchen workers
• Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff
• May assist with planning menus and requisition food and kitchen supplies
• May prepare and cook meals or specialty foods
• Help in the preparation and design of all food menus
• Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
• Resourcefully help solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
• Work together with kitchen staff, establish working procedures
• Inform Chef to order supplies to stock inventory appropriately if required
• Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
