Library Information Specialist

Library Information Specialist is responsible for performing tasks in support of services and activities of the Library, working alongside existing academic partners, to implement and manage library systems, discovery mechanisms, and control mechanisms for online resources on behalf of Khalifa University. The Specialist is also responsible for updating fellow library staff about relevant and emerging systems technology and for using technology to support students, manage repositories, and provide multimedia center support.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Work in coordination with academic partners to manage the Library and develop facilities and resources that cater to Khalifa University student needs.
• Coordinate the daily operations of a library function or program such as serial ordering, reference processing, special collections, electronic publications, collection development and information services.
