Responsibilities

• Support Mine Operations as part of the underground team including Services/Construction and Maintenance.
• Load explosives, install, grout, and tension cable bolts for hanging wall support.
• Competently perform all Mining 2, 3 & 4 functions (Services & Construction).
• Read and understand blast prints from engineering.
• Wash, scale and prepare areas for safe loading activities.
• Maintain accurate records on the 5-point card and communicate tasks daily.
• Work in a team and provide assistance to team members as needed.
• Follow directions from the longhole supervisor and wait for assistance when tasks exceed abilities.
• Proficient in longhole blasting of inverse/drop raises and production.
• Comply with all health and safety instructions.
