Key Responsibilities
Data Modelling & Semantic Design
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance tabular models within Power BI using best practices for DAX, M, and schema design.
- Develop semantic models optimised for speed, scalability, and maintainability, considering VertiPaq storage and formula engine behaviour.
- Build reusable and certified datasets that support self-service analytics and enterprise reporting.
- Translate business logic and analytical requirements into efficient DAX expressions and calculated tables.
- Apply context transition, relationship management, and filter propagation principles to ensure accurate results.
Platform & Governance
- Manage workspaces, dataflows, and dataset deployments within Power BI Service.
- Enforce model version control, dataset certification, and performance standards.
