Lead AWS Cloud Platform Engineer (IaC / Automation / SRE)
Type: Contract (approx. 6 months)
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00am–5:00pm ET (Eastern Time)
Location: Primarily Remote (U.S.-based). If you’re local to the DMV/Reston, some projects may require up to 1 day/week onsite.
Pay (W2): USD $109.05/hr
JOB OVERVIEW
We’re hiring a hands-on AWS Engineer to help build, automate, and support a modern cloud platform as part of a major AWS migration program. This role is for a senior engineer who can provision AWS infrastructure with IaC and jump into production troubleshooting, log/metrics review, and root-cause analysis alongside application and architecture teams.
Important: “Lead” here means seniority/experience—it’s not a people-management role.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
+ Provision and automate AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and policy-as-code practices
+ Provide production support: incident troubleshooting, log analysis, metrics...
