Landfill Equipment Operator

Operators are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a variety of heavy construction equipment at our Class II landfill and Class I Compost Facility. Operators must demonstrate excellent customer service skills as they will interact with customers, truck drivers and other Roseridge staff.

Responsibilities

• Operate a wide variety of equipment including dozer, loader, rock truck, and compactor in compliance with operating procedures and manufacturer specifications.
• Work primarily in the landfill cells but will also cover in compost area turning rows with the loader.
• Move soils, waste materials, and debris according to fill plans and grade specifications.
• Visually inspect the working area throughout the day for unacceptable waste.
• Perform basic labour tasks including assisting with installation of litter fences or retrieval of windblown litter.
