About the Position
The Laboratory Analyst 1 is responsible for all aspects of laboratory analysis including production, time management, quality control and turnaround time.
Specific Responsibilities
- Responsible for preparation of standards, stocks, and materials
- Operates Basic and Level 1 analytical instruments
- Generates work lists and organizes analytical runs
- Prepares complex sample extractions, preparations, and analyses
- Calibrates, maintains, and troubleshoots Basic and Level 1 analytical instruments
- Assists with training of other staff in the department
- Reviews and writes SOPs
- Performs Quality Control approval review
- Carrying out all required work scheduling and planning activities
- Completes all data processing (calculations, data review, data entry, archival, etc.) and required record‑keeping & documentation
