Lab Technician

Full-time Engineering

Job Description: Conduct destructive and non-destructive testing on concrete, composites, and steel components Prepare, cast, cure, and manage test specimens with exceptional accuracy Support prototype assembly and structural load testing alongside engineering teams Record, analyse, and report test results with precision and integrity Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure reliable performance Manage laboratory materials and consumables while maintaining a safe, organised work environment Skills & Experience: Minimum 3 - 5 years' hands-on experience in a construction materials or engineering testing laboratory Strong knowledge of SANS, ASTM, or ISO testing standards Experience operating materials testing equipment and interpreting test data Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and a practical, hands-on approach Experience with fibre-reinforced concrete, composites, or hydraulic testing equipment will be an advantage Qualification: National Diploma, BTech, ...
