Job Description
About the job L2 Database Administrator (PostgreSQL/Sybase) Responsibilities:
- Act as the highest level of technical escalation for PostgreSQL/Sybase issues.
- Manage incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Lead and delegate technical tasks across the team; promote knowledge sharing.
- Own fault investigation, resolution, and user issue escalations.
- Perform deployments, upgrades, and DR/HA configuration of database systems.
- Participate in infrastructure events (e.g., Power Down, DR Tests).
- Drive root cause analysis for high-severity incidents.
- Maintain compliance with IT standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure documentation is current, clear, and usable.
- Lead automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- 6 to8 years of hands‑on experience with PostgreSQL and Sybase in production environments.
