Job Summary / Purpose

The Junior CNC Lathe Operator & Setter is responsible for operating and assisting with the setting of CNC lathe machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and production requirements. The role focuses on learning correct setup procedures, ensuring quality standards, maintaining machine efficiency, and supporting senior setters and toolmakers.

Key Responsibilities Machine Operation Operate CNC lathe machines according to job cards and instructions. Load and unload components safely and efficiently. Monitor machining cycles to ensure smooth operation. Stop machines and report abnormalities immediately. Setting Assistance Assist senior setters with machine setup and changeovers. Load tooling, inserts, and work-holding devices under supervision. Set basic tool offsets and work coordinates as instructed. Perform test cuts and assist with first-off inspections.
