Job Description And Responsibilities

• Receive instructions, prints and work orders for job
• Analyze drawings and sketches, plans details of working procedure and tools and material requirements
• Select materials in accordance with suitability for job
• Lay out work, prepare sketches and determine stock sizes
• Set up, assemble and tack weld parts, constructing special fixtures
• Perform gas and electric welding in all positions (down-hand vertical, overhead, etc.)
• Make any type and size weld, such as “V” lap, butt, etc. preheating parts
• Build up worn or defective surfaces
• Clean, grind and flame anneal parts and welded joints
