The Role
As a software engineer, you will bring your specialist knowledge to a company managing 50% of the world’s MIPS and play a critical role in our modernization mission. You’ll be part of a global community of experts leading the future of mainframe modernization. Your work will involve designing, building, and maintaining high-volume business logic that runs on the mainframe, while refactoring legacy code to support modern cloud and mobile applications.
Responsibilities
- Maintain performance: Monitor the architecture and identify opportunities to optimize code to maintain and enhance mainframe performance.
- Debug and test: Debug, troubleshoot, and analyze complex system interactions to keep mission‑critical applications running.
- Develop for the future: Extract business logic from legacy systems for migration or integration with cloud‑based services.
