Functional Objectives

Repair, maintain, and improve all aspects of the installed hardware base. Support and train users in the use of installed equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining workstations, peripherals, system backups, and utilities, and resolving system issues.
• Updating, monitoring, and adjusting software as instructed.
• Maintaining Intranet helpdesk functions (responding to logged error requests).
• Preparing charts and analyzing typical error or help situations.
• Meeting time commitments and problem resolution, i.e., responding to logged calls within one hour.
• Maintaining installed PC software, assisting in evaluating new software, and updating current software and hardware as directed.
