Key Responsibilities

• Manage the Group’s local, wide-area, wireless and internet networks

• Manage routers, switches, wireless access points and related equipment

• Monitor network performance, security, capacity and availability

• Maintain current network diagrams and configuration records

• Manage IP addressing, VLANs, routing and network segmentation

• Investigate connectivity failures, outages and performance problems

• Manage internet and telecommunications service providers

• Plan network expansion for new users, offices and business requirements

• Ensure appropriate connectivity redundancy where operationally required

• Ensure that all firewalls are correctly configured, updated, licensed and supported

• Regularly review firewall rules, remote-access permissions and security policies
