Then the Measurement Technology team of Reliable Structures at the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) is the place for you! The Measurement Technology team instruments unique test setups in the mechanical testing hall of the Delft Construction Innovation Lab and far beyond. In the testing hall, for example, offshore LNG hoses are aged, sheet pile wall thicknesses are measured, and the tensile strength of the latest wind turbine blades is determined. In addition to work in the hall, you will regularly go into the field to perform on-site measurements, such as measuring the prestressing force in the bolts of one of the Dutch storm surge barriers, the Balgstuw at Ramspol, or installing monitoring systems on major steel bridges in the Netherlands and in the tallest buildings of the Benelux region.
