Internship - AI/ML-Based Finite Element Analysis

The student will be part of the package simulation team. The simulation team uses physics‑based simulation software such as Ansys WB and LS‑DYNA. There have been numerous sets of simulation result generated from the past work. These sets of data could be useful to assess new design geometry with suitable AI/ML‑based finite element software with much reduced compute resource. The student's role is to evaluate / compare several such AI/ML‑based finite element software and provide a comprehensive evaluation report.

Responsibilities

• Conduct finite element analysis using Ansys / LS‑DYNA
• Analyze and consolidate finite element result for AI/ML model training
• Develop script to read essential information from finite element analysis file and output to another file readable by the AI/ML model
• Evaluate and compare different AI/ML‑based finite element models
