Position Overview
The CDI Coding Consulting Specialist conducts chart reviews to ensure clinical documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with coding and regulatory standards, supporting accurate code and DRG assignments. This role is part of Solventum’s CDI international consulting team and involves traveling globally to clients 50–75% of the time as well as partnering with hospitals and CDI teams to strengthen documentation practices and program effectiveness in the UAE and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Conduct retrospective chart reviews of inpatient and/or outpatient records to assess accuracy, completeness, and specificity of clinical documentation.
- Apply knowledge of ICD‑10 code sets, procedure code sets, and DRG classification systems to identify documentation and coding gaps.
- Use medical terminology and procedure review to assess documentation opportunities.
