Overview

This is a 3-month contract role with a local authority, focused on assessing learners undertaking childcare vocational programs. The primary purpose is to ensure that portfolios and assessment evidence meet the standards of awarding bodies and internal quality assurance. The role supports learners to achieve their qualifications within agreed timescales through high-quality assessment, guidance, and workplace support. The postholder will collaborate closely with learners, employers, and colleagues to enhance teaching, learning, and assessment practices across the Adult Learning Service.

Responsibilities

• Assess learners undertaking childcare vocational qualifications using various assessment methods, including workplace observations, professional discussions, and portfolio reviews.
