Job Description
Internal medicine internship at Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists (Alton)
We are excited to open a 12‑month discipline specific internal medicine internship position at Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists (LPVS), starting the beginning of February 2027 until the end of January 2028.
Responsibilities
- Inpatient care, consultations, and student teaching.
- Assisting with management of emergencies.
- Supervised primary care responsibility and diagnostic procedures (e.g., arthrocentesis, feeding tube placement, endoscopy, chemotherapy administration).
- Participation in medicine journal clubs and clinical research.
- Work within the larger referral team setting.
Qualifications
- Prior completion of a rotating internship, or a minimum of two years in small animal practice in the UK.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
