Job Description
Summary You will serve as an entry-level/developmental Intelligence Specialist with responsibility to support acoustic intelligence (ACINT) activities for the command. You will perform specific assignments with tailored instructions, close supervision, and guidance. This position is located within the Submarine Warfare Operations Research Division (SWORD) of NIMITZ OPERATIONAL INTELLIGENCE CENTER in Suitland, Maryland. Responsibilities You will generate reports on the acoustic aspect of tactical events involving foreign submarine forces and anti-submarine warfare (ASW) forces. You will develop and utilize a basic understanding of methods for analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting raw acoustic intelligence (ACINT) data. You will develop a familiarity of basic low frequency analysis and recording (LOFAR) gram analysis, oceanography, and target motion analysis.
