The Opportunity:.Inside Sales Executive is accountable and responsible for business development, sales and collections from end customers and distributors across the Middle East & Africa region to achieve targeted sales of Avantor BioPharma raw materials range of products. Role Purpose: The Head of Project Management for Varian business unit provides strategic leadership for the regional project management function, ensuring disciplined execution, strong governance, and alignment with Zone MEA priorities to deliver targeted Revenue. The role directly manages the project portfolio for French-Speaking Africa and provides strategic direction, oversight, and guidance to project management across the MEA Zone. Key Responsibilities: - Define and drive the project management strategy for MEA, ensuring full alignment with business priorities and regional objectives. - Directly lead the full project portfolio across French-Speaking Africa while providing strategic oversight, guidance, and capability leadership to project management across the wider MEA zone, ensuring projects are well prioritized, properly resourced, and delivered to a consistent standard. - Ensure strong governance and performance tracking to support accurate forecasting and the achievement of project-related revenue targets. - Lead, coach, and develop Project Management leaders and teams across the MEA zone, building strong capabilities and a culture of accountability and collaboration. - Build and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and timely decision-making. - Ensure compliance with project management standards and continuously improve tools, processes, and ways of working to increase efficiency and delivery effectiveness. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline (Master’s preferred). 10+ years of progressive project management experience, with regional or multi-country scope. Experience leading complex, cross-functional projects in emerging markets (MEA and French-speaking Africa strongly preferred). Professional certification (PMP, Prince2, Agile, or equivalent) is an advantage. Fluency in English and French required.
