Job Description
This is an electro-mechanical technician, not a heavy-plant millwright worth looking across electro-mechanical, mechatronics, automation and CNC technicians. The key is solid hands-on mechanical and electrical fault-finding on small precision machinery, with the aptitude to grow into our automatic/CNC sewing machines. What the role involves
- Maintaining, adjusting and repairing our production machines industrial sewing machines and other small precision machines
- Mechanical work: timing, shafts, bearings, cams, linkages, feed mechanisms
- Electrical and electronic fault-finding: servo motors, sensors, control boxes
- Preventative maintenance to keep machines running with minimal downtime
- Over time, setting up, programming and maintaining our automatic / CNC sewing machines as the plant modernises
