An image screening process involves verifying scientific images submitted by the authors for authenticity, quality, and adherence to guidelines, to prevent fraud or misuse. Responsibilities include analyzing images using editing software and tools to detect alterations, comparing current versions to originals to ensure data integrity, and collaborating with authors and or editors to confirm that any modifications are justified and properly declared. Key skills include a keen eye for detail, understanding of image editing software, and familiarity with ethical guidelines for image presentation.
