Main tasks:

• Review medical records – Read doctors’ notes, lab results, and treatment records carefully.
• Assign ICD codes – Translate diagnoses, procedures, and treatments into standard ICD codes.
• Ensure accuracy – Make sure codes match the patient’s medical record to avoid billing errors.
• Compliance check – Follow ICD guidelines, data privacy rules, and insurance requirements.
• Clarification and research – Sometimes contact doctors or staff if the records are unclear.
• Reporting and analytics support – Codes are used for hospital stats, insurance claims, and research.

Qualifications:

• Medical Graduates
• Medical Undergrad - 3rd year
