Job Description
Objective
The HVAC Technician Apprentice assists senior HVAC technicians with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across the University's facilities. Working under direct supervision, the apprentice develops technical skills while supporting preventive maintenance programs and ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of campus mechanical systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
+ Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
+ Perform preventive maintenance on air handling units, split systems, chillers, package units, exhaust systems, and related mechanical equipment.
