Position Overview
Working in the Human Resources department, the HR Generalist provides leadership and advisory services to assigned communities and departments. The work is wide‑ranging from recruitment, training and development, benefits and pension, and performance management advising. It requires knowledge of Agency policies and applicable legislation and effective communication with a diverse range of people. The environment is fast‑paced and demands strong organizational skills and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- A diploma or degree in Human Resources preferred.
- 2+ years of related experience or a combination of experience and education.
- Superior written, interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Office 365 and SharePoint.
- A valid driver’s licence.
- Demonstrated understanding and respect for Indigenous culture.
