Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) activities across the mining operation.
Develop, implement, maintain and continuously improve the company's SHEQ management systems, policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA), Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), DMPR requirements and all relevant legislation.
Accept and fulfil all applicable statutory legal appointments required for the position.
Liaise with the Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources (DMPR) and other regulatory authorities.
Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification (HIRA), HAZOP studies, audits and inspections.
