Overview
CBC Prince Edward Island is looking for a host for its Island Morning radio program. In this role, you will be the voice that sets the news agenda for listeners across P.E.I., helping them make sense of their world as they get up each morning. You are an insatiably curious early‑morning storyteller with a passion for drawing emotion and stories out of interview guests. You are equally comfortable holding a politician accountable as you are chatting with children, and you know when to put people at ease and when to challenge them. You understand that audiences want to be both entertained and informed as they start their day, and you realize the importance of making audiences feel welcome and part of a community. You know that using a full range of tone, including humour, is key to strong radio current affairs programming.
