Job Description
PE Global is currently recruiting for a Horticultural Technician for a leading multi-national FMCG client based in Reading.
This is a contract position based in Reading, hours includes weekend duty (one weekend in four; typically 2 hours per day).
Pay rate is Ā£14.85 per hour - Ā£18.59 per hour depending on experience.
Duties of the role/Responsibilities
ā¢ General maintenance of plants and greenhouse facilities
ā¢ Inspecting plants for pests and diseases; pest control through application of biological control
ā¢ Monitoring, maintaining and calibrating of automatic irrigation system; making up nutrient stocks solutions.
ā¢ Inspecting plants under quarantine for viral and other disease symptoms
ā¢ Plant propagation
ā¢ Co-organising exports of plant material
ā¢ Attendance of a Quarantine Advisory Committee twice per year

ā¢ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
