The primary role of a Histotechnologist is to conduct complex medical laboratory tests to aid in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases.
Responsibilities
+ Analyze laboratory findings to ensure the accuracy of the results.
+ Examine samples of biological material for chemical content or reaction.
+ Monitor clinical trials for research organizations or internal research purposes.
+ Cultivate, isolate, and identify microbial organisms, performing various tests on these microorganisms.
+ Conduct clinical trials of pharmaceuticals.
+ Enter data from medical tests and clinical results into computer systems for storage.
+ Operate, calibrate, and maintain equipment used in quantitative and qualitative analysis, including spectrophotometers, calorimeters, flame photometers, and computer-controlled analyzers.
