Summary You will serve as a HIGH VOLTAGE ELECTRICIAN LEADER in the PUBLIC WORKS DIVISION of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST. This position is being recruited for the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) and may subsequently be realigned under the Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC). Responsibilities You will lead crews in troubleshooting cable systems to locate shorts, electrolysis damage, capacitance imbalance or cable breaks. You will lead a team as a High Voltage Electrician completing high voltage electrical inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities. You will use tools (climbing gear, belt and harness to operate, test and repair high voltage overhead lines, cross arms, transformers, switches and structures). You will maintain proper work methods, explain steps and or processes to ensure the safety of crew members and safe operations of the equipment.
